You're Beautiful (or You're Handsome) 16 episodes

Go Mi Nyu pretends to be her twin brother and fills his spot as the newest addition of all-boy idol, A.N. Jell. The drama is not the first to mix in gender bender + showbiz type there's Idol Paradise and Cinderella Boy mangas. For the gender bender + twins set-up there's 'Secret Girl'. And of course it's predecessors in reverse harem live action are the two Hana Kimi's and Coffee Prince. But even with the tried and tested cliches the drama was able to create a refreshing take. It's not heavy on the drama per se and delivers funny scenes and original twists. I love the noodle mix dance and MTV in the fields with the boar.

The actors gave justice to their roles as idols with their looks, character acting as well as musical prowess. Lee Hong Ki and Jung Yong Hwa are real-life members of idol groups. I was betting at first for Go Min Nam - Shin Woo but you can't deny the acting charms and the chemistry between Park Shin Hye and Hwang Tae Kyung. PSH joins the ranks of Go Eun Chan and Horikita Maki in my top three favorite heroine in a hero role. I can't decide if she's pretty as a guy or handsome as a girl but I like her unpretentious acting style.

Even though it's about music, I'm not such a fan of the soundtrack. The supporting cast are great too and I like the fact that they don't have super-evil character. I haven't been this excited with a drama since Boys Before Flowers ended. I really hope it's true that there will be a second season!

This show was so great, though the last episode confused me a bit. I especially love the fanfic scene! I've watched it a hundred times! So hilarous!

Anyway, I'm Falling In Love With You Vol. 1 by Haruka Mitsui Mizuho grew up with her friends in Koigama Highland. The springtime of her youth awaits her as she turns seventeen. Kiskis! My Boyfriend are Mint Candies!- 4 episodes Tang Tang meet guys who each represent a flavor of mint candies. It has a catchy, cute opening. At first there's a different feel on it which I can't pinpoint. And then I realized that they are talking in Chinese! This is my first completed Chinese animation. Well since it was way too easy to finish it. It's 5-minute ONA for 4 episodes. I think this premiered last June 4. But the first Chinese animation I watched is still currently airing (unconfirmed reverse harem), Phantom in the Twilight, which is a collaboration between Japan and China. Oh back to back Chinese reviews after The Flame's Daughter. Is China going to be booming with reverse harem now?

I was flexible with many titles where it's only one or two guys interested in the female protagonist and other gray areas. But we are now at a point where I can be strict with labeling reverse harem. Let's start with the classification of reverse harem-ness. This is for my sake too if in case I run off course again. 1. Five Flowers - This is literally reverse harem. Drama Review: I Have Three Boyfriends

I Have Three Boyfriends kdrama- 10 episodes The story starts with Ra Hee going on a date after another with her three boyfriends. She's frantically trying not to get caught. The drama will unravel how she got herself into this dilemma. This is the first reverse harem I've seen about cheating female main character. Certainly, this is bound to happen in reverse harem. BTW, My favorite boyfriend is the domineering director. It was not believable at first but it got me hooked. The story is milking the coincidences to the hilt. The ending is unexpected and here all along I was under the impression that it's going to be open-ended. Sorry, to keep this review short as it's a short drama with 15 minutes runtime per episode.
