It's about a poor student who has to work in the highschool host club for breaking an expensive vase. I had apprehension when they first released teasers with Neko chan on the cover. I was expecting a totally different Ouran. Episode 1 was very awkward but after episode 2 I was back in Ouran wonderland again.

They are perfect for their roles well except for Yusuke (Tamaki). Acting wise he's great but he's just too popular and so much associated with his past roles. Shunsuke (Kyoya) reminds me of a young Shun Oguri. I was disappointed that Haruna doesn't look like Haruhi at all but she grew on me. Kudos to the twins for not cringing when they stare-fest at each other!!!

The storyline and number of episodes are timed and executed well. The comic scenes are a classic. They've retained the silliness and added more heart and reason. The backstories are not rushed. The silliness and randomness in the anime seems to never end and people remember it for it and forget how the anime ended which I think by the way is epic. Will we ever get this in the upcoming movie? I'm also not convinced with Tamaki and Haruhi blushing in the end. Please make it harder for Tamaki ok? This is how you make an adaptation. It's a challenge to live up to the expectations of the fans and they nailed it.

Kiskis! My Boyfriend are Mint Candies!- 4 episodes Tang Tang meet guys who each represent a flavor of mint candies. It has a catchy, cute opening. At first there's a different feel on it which I can't pinpoint. And then I realized that they are talking in Chinese! This is my first completed Chinese animation. Well since it was way too easy to finish it. It's 5-minute ONA for 4 episodes. I think this premiered last June 4. But the first Chinese animation I watched is still currently airing (unconfirmed reverse harem), Phantom in the Twilight, which is a collaboration between Japan and China. Oh back to back Chinese reviews after The Flame's Daughter. Is China going to be booming with reverse harem now?

I Have Three Boyfriends kdrama- 10 episodes The story starts with Ra Hee going on a date after another with her three boyfriends. She's frantically trying not to get caught. The drama will unravel how she got herself into this dilemma. This is the first reverse harem I've seen about cheating female main character. Certainly, this is bound to happen in reverse harem. BTW, My favorite boyfriend is the domineering director. It was not believable at first but it got me hooked. The story is milking the coincidences to the hilt. The ending is unexpected and here all along I was under the impression that it's going to be open-ended. Sorry, to keep this review short as it's a short drama with 15 minutes runtime per episode. Anime Review: Kamisama Hajimemashita OVA and Kako-Hen

Kamisama Hajimemashita OVA It consists of two 15-minute-ish episodes. The first episode is based on the manga while the second one is an original story. In the first episode, Tomoe is keeping a secret from Nanami, while in the second episode Tomoe and Nanami go on a trip. It's just appetizers so I recommend watching this first before the main course which is Kako Hen. Kamisama Hajimemashita Kako Hen- ( Kamisama Kiss Past Arc) It consists of five OVAs that were bundled on different volumes. Tomo is afflicted with a curse and the only way to save him is for Nanami to travel back in time.
