First Impression: Hakuouki drama Eps 1-3

Hakuouki drama - 10 episodes 25 mins. runtime | Available on Crunchyroll Chizuru meets the Shinsengumi while in search of her father disguised as a boy. Her father's disappearance seems to be connected to the blood-crazed men she encountered in Kyoto. The story is set in the Bakumatsu era of Japan.  If you are new to the Hakuouki fandom, let's do a round-up of the main characters who are based on historical figures. Toshizo Hijikata, the vice-commander of the group. Souji Okita, first division captain who's fierce but loves to tease Chizuru. Hajime Saito, the quiet master swordsman, and third division captain. Heisuke Toudou, eight division captain and the youngest of the group. Sanosuke Harada, tenth division captain who prefers spears. Shinpachi Nagakura is the cheerful second division captain who loves to drink. And Keisuke Sanan, the other vice commander who also serves as tactician. First Impressions of dramas (Eps. 1-3): Not Found Love and Find Me if You Can

This was supposed to be first impression of nine reverse harem dramas but I've decided to split them into smaller posts because it's taking me forever to finish them in one go. Let's start with Not Found Love and Find Me If You Can. These two are both short, "finding"-themed kdramas that aired under Fall Reverse Harem 2021 .  Not Found Love kdrama  - 10 eps. 15 mins. runtime   Seul is 25 years old and wants to get better at dating that she kept "wrong answer notebooks" for all her previous boyfriends and including the current one. She tries to analyze what went wrong in her relationships.  She presently has four notebooks. For Chorong, her first boyfriend in highschool. Minwoo, who she met in her twenties. Sangwoo, her college lover. And Hyunseok, her latest boyfriend. We have met the three guys but we're getting this vibe from another guy who might be included in the reverse harem. This falls under three flowers in  Levels of Reverse Harem  where th

Manga Review: Alice in Bishounen-Land Vol. 2 (final volume)

Alice in Bishounen-Land Volume 2 by Yushi Kawata Art by Yukito With the help of a new member or two, Alice and the newly-rebranded idol group Triple S progresses in the battles. Disclaimer A review copy was provided by the publisher. Check out the first volume review . The first volume is so weird but trust me it gets weirder. But once you got used to the humor, everything seems funnier this time around. The randomness of the backstories, the non-stop comical situations, and cheesy jokes. I'm loving them all now including the minor characters. The one thing that balances it all out is Alice. She's the shining beacon of reason and her spot-on observations make it more laughable.    For something crazy, it briefly touches 'beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder'. And it's not in your face at all. It is refreshing and satisfying to get some key takeaways from both volumes when you're least expecting one.  The isekai element of the story is set inside an otome
