Hello there! I go by 'ayreesa' which is based on my nickname IRL, Iris. Aside from Sakura, Iris or Ayame is also a popular spring flower in Japan. It symbolizes heroism, royalty, and heraldry.
In Saiunkoku Monogatari, Ryuuki gives Ran Shuei and Ri Koyu these flowers as a sign of his trust in them. In Brothers Conflict, Iori gives the flower to Ema and tells her it means good news. But Kaname says there's a second meaning, which is "I will risk everything for love." In Greek mythology (*coughs* Kamigami no Asobi *coughs*), Iris is the goddess of the rainbow and the messenger of the gods. I'm really destined to be a messenger of reverse harem love! My favorite color is purple too. Now, if only I get to see real Irises.

If my life were turned into manga, it would be a josei with my bishonen husband and four sons. I am based in the Philippines. Aside from reverse harem, I love other genres/media like US series, kdramas, sci-fi, books, sometimes shonen... anything that strikes my interest. I also love fashion, stationery, and bullet journals/planners, and having coffee me-time with myself.
OH my gosh! :D I LOVE this Anime it was one of my favourite! :D I just can't wait for a second season! :D It's just too good! :D
ReplyDeleteI didn't see arcana famiglia on your list.. *^* are you sure you haven't watched it?
ReplyDeleteHave you watched Arcana Famiglia? It's such a good but short reverse harem anime!! *^*
ReplyDeleteYup, you may have missed it in the list because it's under the name La Storia della Arcana Famiglia.
ReplyDeleteHi, i wasnt sure how to contact you so i thought i would do a post. I discovered a kind of reverse harem called Please Save My Earth. Its pretty old and it has ova's which i have not seen yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jaina! I'm excited to watch it!
ReplyDeleteHi I'm a fellow reverse-harem lover and I haven't seen 'Oiran Girl' in your manga list. Not sure if you've read it, but here's a few more suggestion which i really liked (can't remmeber if they're on your list):
ReplyDeleteAkatsuki no Yona
Shounen Dolls
Hanatsukihime (kinda harem??)
Metronome
Heart no Diamond
Pureblood+Boyfriend
xD if you haven't read them, then i recommend taking a look cause although some aren't complete, they're pretty good r-harems (and all manga)
Hi Found another reverse harem manga called Evyione. It isnt for young readers but is like a reverse telling of the little mermaid story. Thought it was very good.
ReplyDeletethanks jaina!
ReplyDeleteThis blog is absolutely amazing. Reverse Harem is my favorite genre of anime and manga, so every time I'm in the mood for something new I just come to your website. I look forward to the list of upcoming shows and new banners. Thanks you for being awesome! ^U^
ReplyDeleteThanks! Made my day! :)
ReplyDeleteGuess i am becoming a regular on this site, lol. Found two more reverse harem manga. Atasuki no hana is a cross between Saver and Fushigi Yuugi, but not grim as the first, and not so melodramatic as the second. The artwork was on the simpler side compared to manwha like Saver, but i found it entertaining and interesting. The second is a more mature themed manga called Dokuhime (Poison Princess). Its a semi horror gothic tale with amazingly drawn clothes and mostly non cliched characters .
ReplyDeleteI actually read Akatsuki before but it doesn't feel like a RH then. I'll have to pick it up again. Thanks for the tips! :)
Deletesorry realized i made a mistake on the one name its Akatsuki no Yona, which i see another blogger also recommended.
ReplyDeleteNo problem. I forgot to mention on my 1st reply to keep on visiting! :D
Deleteits not a manga but i found a reverse harem series called The Academy by C.L. Stone, first set is The Ghost Bird series with 1 girl and 7 well actually 9 guys (if you count the slightly older ones) who all slowly fall in love with her. Its all very sweet and innocent and during book 5 another series starts (more mature) and the story overlaps, with a different character who's personality is like the complete opposite and she ends up in a group with 5 guys well 6 if you count the leader. https://www.goodreads.com/series/122683-the-ghost-bird-series
ReplyDeletehttp://www.goodreads.com/series/121952-the-scarab-beetle-series
the series is still in progress and i believe you can download the first book free from the author's website
Ohh I want to read this!!! Thanks!
Deletei know i just recommended The Academy series by C.L. Stone but I also wanted to mention another reverse harem Divinicus Nex Chronicles #1 so far only book one has been release, book 2 comes out sometime this year. I know its not manga or anime but i thought it would be worth mentioning since this is the reverse harem garden :p https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16067683-demons-at-deadnight
ReplyDeleteThanks for this recommendation too!
ReplyDeleteYour welcome :) hope you enjoy them
DeleteHi!!! I've been following your blog for about five years now and I absolutely love it!! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to this blog :) I recently saw your post on how you also enjoy reading novels of the same genre and I was reading through the comments and saw that a couple of people already recommended The Academy Series by C.L Stone. Highly, highly recommend it. Also, I have two other novel series you might want to check out : The Crossover Series by Mireille Chester, and Blue Fire Series by Paulette Miller.
ReplyDeleteYou've seriously kept my guilty pleasure of reading Reverse Harem growing and it was this blog that got me wondering if this genre exsisted in actual books. So thanks so much and keep up the amazing work!!! I'm a fan :)
Whoa the list is growing longer now! Thanks for the recommendations! :) It's great to know that fans of rh and this blog like you appreciates YA novels too. Yay more reverse harem books to read!

DeleteHi! so I'm a big fan of your blog and you current banner is "Haruka 4." Is it a manga, otome, or an anime? It has been driving me crazy...
ReplyDeleteIt's an otome. I'm not sure if there's already a manga version for this.
DeleteThanks :)
DeleteNew book, well not new it was on wattpad but removed to be published (Not real brothers) "One young woman. Seven brothers. When she falls in love with two, which brother will she choose?"

DeleteDoes anyone know if reverse harem style Western Movies exist? a girl with several male love interests?
ReplyDeleteHmm.. Mama Mia and When in Rome. New Girl TV series can be considered RH but only 1 guy is in love w/ her. In True Blood, there's a lot of guys after Sookie. Oh yes..can Disney be counted too? Brave and Mulan. Now I want to make a post about this! haha Great question Jaina!
Delete:D so i just finished at anime which i think should definitely be on the list: Lupin III: The woman named Fujiko Mine. Almost every male character carries a torch for her at some point in the anime, and at 13 episodes, i finished it in two days. Its for the mature since it has lots of nudity but Fujiko was a strong heroine, not like your typical shojou rh main girl, who sounds like someone from Alvin and the Chipmunks and has a limited vocabulary of like ten words. The english dub was pretty good, and whats great is that you dont need to see the other Lupin series to understand what is going on. I give it an 8 stars.
ReplyDeleteWow! Just 13 episodes. But I'm not sure though if I can watch this sooner. But thanks for the recommendation! I'll be adding this on my watchlist.
DeleteI don't know if you played this I didn't see it on otome list but there's three games for ds call Tokimeki Memorial girl's side: 1st love, 2nd kiss, and 3rd story. They require to be patch if you wanna play it in English, 3rd story fan translation still in progress tho.

www.englishotomegames.net/post/8702685815/tokimeki-memorial-girls-side-2nd-kiss#
Whoa sorry I'm off limits to otome games for now due to all the backlogs but I'll definitely try this in the future. Thanks a lot!
DeleteSome more reverse harem...yay!! so lets start with Tarot Cafe..its a finished manga with a more episodic feel till u get toward the end. A fascinating supernatural story with handsome male leads and some weird plot twists. Then there is Princess by Han, Seung-Won. Its an incredibly long intense story spanning three generations of love hate and wars. Its been on hiatus sadly for several years, and the art looks kinda 80ish in the the begininng but toward the end of the whats been written its actually very pretty. Last is Masca. i read this a while back, its oldish but the story is complex..not sure if its a a hundred percent sure reverse harem, but i love the chatacters..its also on hiatus.
ReplyDeleteWow! these look like hidden gems of manhwas. Thanks a bunch!
ReplyDeletei'm searching for a reverse harem: its about a girl visiting a new school, she thinks its a music school, but in reality it isn't. there a 7 boys who fights against monsters at school with their instruments. that girl has to be their captain because she has special power, but not everyone accept her, some boys are really mad but a little later in the story they fall in love with her.
ReplyDeleteSakura Taisen Kanadegumi?
DeleteHi Ayreesa! I'm a long time lurker of your blog and I especially love reading all the news you post to keep us updated on the reverse harem world, lol. I know you've recently started posting about reverse harem books, and I know about a book that I think you might be interested in. There are only two love interests but the ending of the book lets you pick which one you think she will end up with so it's similar to an otome game. :) It's called The Wild Swans by K.M. Shea. The author is actually my sister, so if you would like a free e-book copy you can just email her at km.shea(at)yahoo.com and tell her I sent you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! :)
DeleteHi I'm follower of yours and I really love your blog! Well I am about to read the the spearwood academy series and I'm confused about the series' arrangement. Can you explain what are those volumes and episodes? Is volume six the next one after vol. 5 or is it episodes 11 &12?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Here's the breakdown of the volumes by eps.
DeleteVolume 1 - Ep 1-5
Volume 2 - Ep 6-10
Volume 3- Ep 11 -12
Volume 4
Volume 5
Volume 6
I think after 11 & 12, the author started releasing by volumes instead of breaking down to episodes.
Ohh now I see thank you very much ^.^
DeleteLet me just say it again that your blog is sugoi>v< Been following it for 5 yrs and I'll always be supporting your blog:) Reverse Harem Garden blog ganbatte kudasaiiii!
May I know who's on the profile pic?
ReplyDeleteAre you referring to the girl on the FB profile? It's Fuka from Ozmafia.
Deletehi! Just wanted to know what manga the current banner is from. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt's from otome and manga, Love Revo!
DeleteHi! I'm a big fan, and I think you do an awesome job at maintaining this blog! My question is, what are some of your favorite reverse harems?
ReplyDeleteThat's a very good and hard question! Let me limit it to top 3 for each format. For anime- it's Fushigi Yugi, Saiunkoku Monogatrai and Ouran Highschool Host Club. For dramas- Hana Yori Dango, Hana Kimi (jdrama 1st ver) and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I'm gonna forego with mangas since I haven't completed most of the mangas. For books- It's going to be The Academy for now.
DeleteI am new to your blog and reverse harem. I have watched Fruits Basket and Ouran Highschool Host Club before and really liked them. I just finished watching Vampire Knight and I loved it. It was then that I started researching what I now know to be called "reverse harem." Can you suggest some of your favorite reverse harem animes I can try next? Thanks a bunch! Also, maybe some sites that you can watch anime from? I have Netflix.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the word of rh! Based on what you've seen (Ouran & FB), You can try Brothers Conflict and The Wallflower. For old animes, I recommend my faves Fushigi Yugi and Saiunkoku Monogatari, while for newer ones I recommend Kamisama Hajimemashita and Akatuski no Yona. Sorry, I don't think they're on Netflix.

ReplyDeleteHi Ayreesa!! Recently there is a drama titled Master Devil Don't Kiss Me. Looks like a reverse harem drama. It's like a mashup of Boys Over Flowers And Mischevious Kiss/ Itazura Kiss with 3-4 guys liking a strong heroine. Worth watching if you're okay with the plot being kinda abit here and there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation! :D
DeleteJust read the first two books in an amazing RH series. It's called curse of the gods by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington. The third one will be out this year and I think there will be a total of 5. The first book is called Trickery, the second Persuasion. Absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteOMG! When I saw your name in this page, it sounded really familiar and then it struck me that you're one of the admins in the ~Reverse Harem Club~(R.H.C). I used to be one of the admins too, creating club banners and layout until I went hiatus haha Anyway, just dropping by to say Hi! ^_^
