Anime Review: La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky

La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky - 12 episodes Koihanata Kanade was invited to Seiso Academy to compete for the national musical competition wherein they have to pit against the cream of the crop of other schools. She was once a child prodigy in playing the violin but she has reached a somewhat of a slump. I was excited with the number of bishonen and different schools. There are four schools and fifteen bishies but the opening credits showed twelve main boys. Who wouldn't be excited? Out of all the Neoromance anime adaptations, the only project that I really liked is La Corda d' Oro. So I was feeling positive about the spinoff. There was also a reverse harem cohabitation within the reverse harem interschool competition.  Inception! Yes, there was a female photographer in the house and all-girl team but I liked to pretend that they don't count. But after just a couple of episodes, I have quickly accepted the fact that it's going to be yet another boring Neoromanc...

La Corda d' Oro ~ Secondo Passo~

La Corda d' Oro ~ Secondo Passo ~ - 2 episode special Seiso Academy holds another concurs and new characters are introduced. I wasn't expecting that much for a special. Just another marketing ploy to boost the otome. It will make you wonder who Eto is to go buy and play the game. Lol. But watching them play in the concurs brings back the feelings of the time I was watching primo passo. Their reactions when Kaji showed his gratitude to Hino made me rewatch that scene.

La Corda d'Oro Special: A Summer Encore

"Its a flower that blooms only one summer night" The concurs participants all gathered for a summer training camp. This is just an extra stuff after the concours. Nothing special for a 'special'. As usual all the guys get a fair amount of quality moments with Kahoko.

La Corda d'Oro~ Primo Passo anime

Kin-iro d'Corda or La Corda d'Oro~ Primo Passo (The Golden String or The Golden Cord)- 25 episodes based on otome game and adapted into manga by Yuki Kuri Hino Kahoko is just an ordinary student but her life changes when the music fairy gives her power to play the violin. She unwittingly agrees to enter the muscial concours against the music prodigies. The "La Corda d'Oro" is delicately drawn and filled with classical music. It's like a fine dining experience. The story is sweet and captivating at first but it became very serious near the end. The manga is ongoing as well, so if there would a be another season I hope it could redeem itself. I'm one Yunoki's crazed fan, I like his true personality. The operatic pop opening "Brand New Breeze" by Kanon is perfect for the anime and has a recall value.
