The world-building reminds me of fantasy novels. If you're a sucker too for so many world-building elements this will hit the spot. This was supposed to be first impression of nine reverse harem dramas but I've decided to split them into smaller posts because it's taking me forever to finish them in one go. Let's start with Not Found Love and Find Me If You Can. These two are both short, "finding"-themed kdramas that aired under Fall Reverse Harem 2021 .  Not Found Love kdrama  - 10 eps. 15 mins. runtime   Seul is 25 years old and wants to get better at dating that she kept "wrong answer notebooks" for all her previous boyfriends and including the current one. She tries to analyze what went wrong in her relationships.  She presently has four notebooks. For Chorong, her first boyfriend in highschool. Minwoo, who she met in her twenties. Sangwoo, her college lover. And Hyunseok, her latest boyfriend. We have met the three guys but we're getting this vibe from another guy who might be included in the reverse harem. Plus one Winter 202 1 show.  A Female Student Arrives in the Imperial College cdrama eps 1-3 Sang Qi is the first female student to enter the imperial college. She encounters three out of the four bachelors of Bianjing: Yan Yun Zhi, deputy of the imperial college; Yan Xiao Ling, eldest son of grand preceptor and Zhuo Wen Yuan, her friend who's always looking out for her.   We may never have to meet the fourth bachelor Qing Xuan since he's not on the cast list but in the photo above the fourth guy is Song Luo Tian. I'm not 100% if this is reverse harem I was simply operating on the fact of only girl in an  all-boy school.  So far we have the lead guy, the second lead, and the third one who might be crushing on her after saving his life.   I Have Three Boyfriends kdrama- 10 episodes  The story starts with Ra Hee going on a date after another with her three boyfriends. She's frantically trying not to get caught. The drama will unravel how she got herself into this dilemma.  This is the first reverse harem I've seen about cheating female main character. Certainly, this is bound to happen in reverse harem. BTW,  My favorite boyfriend is the domineering director.   It was not believable at first but it got me hooked. The story is milking the coincidences to the hilt.   The ending is unexpected and here all along I was under the impression that it's going to be open-ended. Sorry, to keep this review short as it's a short drama with  15 minutes runtime per episode.  This is the last of my backlog reviews from a couple of years ago. This is the record-breaking number of dramas in one season! Nine reverse harem dramas not including 300 Year-Old Class of 2020 which seems like a promotional show? I can't see myself doing one review at a time. It's going to take me forever so I'll review them in one go. I have yet to finish cdramas: Celestial Authority Academy, In Love With Your Dimples and Unique Lady/Lascivious Lady Season 2. Those are 20+ episodes each.  It's also hard to rank them as they have different formats but I've grouped them according to country of origin. Some are super short whilst others are just right. There were some that I loved but the ending left me sad. And there was one or maybe two that are not a reverse harem! Yeo Joo Ah is the forever convenience store worker. She meets four guys in the store...sweet manager Kim Donghyun, tsundere part-timer Jung Su Bin, puppie cutie toyboy Bong Jaehyun and chic mint chip squad, Jung Wooseok.  It's the return of idols as actors on web dramas. The four guys are from different idol groups.  The teaser is so powerful. You can sense the electricity in the air when one after another the guys folded their fingers to show that they have feelings for someone in the room. And well it's just her and the four guys.  It's an interactive drama where the fans can vote who they want for her to choose. I don't know who am I going to choose yet?? The mint guy has a distracting foundation but his episode made me give him some slack. And sorry, I'm not really into puppy guy either. 3b no Koibito Eps 1-3 Jdrama/Based on Manga   Haruka Kobayashi had a case of runaway groom and haven't found luck with love since then. Her friend warned her to avoid 3B at all cost: bandman, beautician and bartender. And of course, she finds herself living with all three men.  This is my favorite among all the winter reverse harem dramas I've seen so far. And this is the first time I'm watching so many reverse harem all at the same time.  Six. Reverse. Harem. Dramas. @.@ (Including 38-sai from Fall and not including Mairunuvich)   Is the so-called 3B boys really a thing in Japan?  I don't know why but I loved that the guys are dating other women and it's refreshing for all the guys to be unreliable. It's hilarious when Haruka shuts them down like with Haruhi to the Ouran boys. She seems an airhead at the start when she thought the beautician is asking for her number but later on she sees through them. No favorite 3B yet but I'm kinda afraid of the bartende...

Cinderella and the Four Knights 16 episodes Eun Ha‑won is hired by a wealthy man to look after and live with his three grandchildren: the idol Kang Seo‑woo, the jerk Kang Ji‑woon, and the playboy Kang Hyun‑min. And together with bodyguard Lee Yoon-song. It aired in 2016 but I watched this only early this year. Yes, yes it's my habit of watching just the first episode. But the only reason I managed to pick it up again is that it's back on Netflix.   The drama falls under four flowers. (See  Levels of Reverse Harem ) Even though the title is Four Knights only three guys would be into the heroine. The drama can actually live with Three Knights for the title for so many reasons but I'm just going to leave this here. And on top of that, these four men will make her life more complicated.  There's the PE teacher, the loan shark, the writer, and the actor. And one of the guys is possibly the father of her daughter.  It started off strong (check  First Impression  eps. 1-4) but as predicted I got bored when it's evident you know how the story will end before it even passed the halfway mark. Heck, it was already obvious from the start. The only thing that is making me come back is the cliffhangers. Still, it is feel-good and entertaining with endearing moments.  The  Korean version of Dreams is a great song choice. It sets an over-all happy mood.  It is four flowers alright (multiple men after her, see  Levels of Reverse Harem ) but it seems forced. This drama makes use of cliffhangers effectively. It's just so incredulous though that she will meet again the guys from her past all at the same time. Actually, not all of them. It reminds me of kinda reverse harem drama, Reply 1994 , where it keeps going to the present as the drama is set in 1994 and teases you of who she got married to in the present. (One of the guys in WIL is also in Reply 1994) In Was it Love, we get flashbacks from 14 years ago of who might be the father of her daughter. Oh My Baby- 16 episodes Jang Ha-ri is single, workaholic...and her biological clock to have a baby is ticking. She may have potential baby daddies: someone she hated, someone she grew up with and someone too young for her.  My first impression was off to a great start. (See " First Impression: Oh My Baby kdrama ~ Eps 1-4 ~ An Early Favorite for 2020 reverse harem dramas "). I was quick to judge that it will be in the same boat of other reverse harem dramas, Three Dads and a Mom and Happy 300 Days . And oh boy I was totally wrong. The end goal was to have a baby but it's not as simple as that. The very first hurdle is the father and she's not dating anyone. The story is about going the most realistic but non-conformist way or commit herself to a risky relationship and lose her small window of being a mom. And the complication doesn't stop there.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo- 20 episodes Go Ha Jin drowns during a total solar eclipse in the present time Korea and then wakes up back in the time of Goryeo dynasty. She becomes entangled with the 8 brothers/princes' fight for the throne.

First 7 Kisses -  8 episodes Min Soo Jin has never been kissed. Then she met a goddess who grants her wish in the form of seven celebrities.

Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth - 20 episodes This is a story about how the Hwarang was created in the ancient kingdom of Silla. They are the finest young men who came from elite families and who will support the King in the future. However, the king is hidden while the Queen consort rules. In the heart of the political struggles are Dog Bird, a half breed and a nameless King. 

Reverse harem is not an exact science. Fans may have a different interpretation of what reverse harem is. Now, this a tale of two otomes turned animes from Winter 2015 who just didn't quite feel reverse harem at all. And  I thought it was going to be the best season ever. Boy, I was wrong.  Prince of Stride: Alternative- 12 episodes Nana enters Honan Academy to join the stride club.

Gogh, The Starry Night - 4 episodes Go Ho is workaholic and single. Her boss drives her crazy but it gets crazier when she gets a new boss who turns out to be her ex-boyfriend. But the craziness in her office doesn't stop there...

Dream Knight - 12 episodes Joo in Hyung is a very positive girl who lives by herself and who strives hard to fulfill her dreams. She's also a big fan of the idol group, GOT, who goes in the same school with her. Then one day four mysterious boys with strange powers appear to protect her.

Reply 1994 - 21 episodes The drama is set in 1994. It's about the lives of 7 college students from different provinces who lived in a boarding house in Seoul. Among the male boarders, is Sung Na Jung's husband in the present time. The story will teases you with hints as it moved back and forth from the past to the present.  This is the drama that I equally love and hate. I didn't know it was even possible. I give it a perfect 10 for direction, acting, and set/props. But the ending left me all heartbroken. She didn't end up with the guy I loved! But I've moved on now so I can finally post this without anger. I enjoyed the overall themes and that's coming from someone with zero knowledge of Korean history, geography and Reply 1997. I love how they interweave the past events, pop culture and regional differences in the story. The drama was nostalgic for me too since 10 years ago I was in 6th grade. Do the math, yes, I'm old!
