Hiiro no Kakera

Hiiro no Kakera 13 episodes

Tamaki moves back to her grandmother and finds out that she's destined to become the next Tamayori princess. She must protect the seal together with the five guardians that keeps the elemental beings from being unleashed to the human world.
The otome-turned-to-anime was just so-so for me. The pacing is slow and stretched but still it kept me excited as to what would happen when she awaken her powers. Sadly, I don't have any favorite bishie. Maybe it's too early or maybe it's something to do with the character design. The original otome design looks sharper while anime version soften up their features. But I totally love the opening song!
I was surprised when it was suddenly cut up to episode 13 and with the announcement of a second season in fall. I hope the story and pacing picks up now that we're expecting more action. It's also from the same game developers of Hakuouki. So if Hakuouki is all spring sakuras, HNK is all autumn-y…

English Otome Mobile Apps

English otome apps are now available in smartphones! The art and the bishies are eye candy and the   premises are engaging. These are all paid apps but they all come with free prologues to tempt your wallets. Finally,  English games that are accessible! I wish I can just pay it in my local currency rather than credit card.

"Pirates in Love" is the first title of Voltage Romance Sims. It's available both in itunes and play. You'll have to pay for each characters and epilogues. I really want to play Eduardo!

"My Forged Wedding" is also from Voltage and are also available in itunes and play . The prologue doesn't give away the details as to why exactly they need to fake the wedding but check out the video above to have an idea why. I'm gravitating to Saeki (the ladies man) and Yamato (the rude guy). Also, the "uncle" seems to be play-able character in the future. Interesting.

"Ren'Ai Shugi Road to Emerald" is the lolita-lized …

Rooftop Prince

Rooftop Prince - 20 episodes
King Li Gak and his three subjects jumps forward into the 21st century Korea and to be more specific, they land straight through Bu Yong's rooftop house. King Li believes he's here to investigate a murder. The pieces to solving the puzzle are the same people from Joseon era who are reincarnated in the present time. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. You know the pieces but you don't know how they are all related. But the drama slowly (not dragged on) fits the pieces together and answered all your questions in the end. But after piquing much of your curiosity it leaves you hating because it ended abruptly and it left you wanting for more. But alas! We know there's no other choice for a good ending.
The antics of the four time travellers basically got me hooked. I was laughing a LOT. I think the last time I laughed liked this was with the first Hana Kimi jdrama. But after they adapted to the modern lifestyle the tone shifts to seriousness. I…
