The Demon Prince of Momochi House Eps. 1-3 based on manga
Himari Momochi inherits a house but finds it inhabited by a young master and his two attendants.
If we exclude the orphan premise as an excuse for reverse harem cohabitation (personal bias), the supernatural situations felt natural and not cringey or absurd. There's a balance of fun, hints of romance, and melancholy. Must. Protect. Nue. And I'm enjoying the story more than I should. Japanese mythology and highschool shenanigans are a welcome treat with the prevalence of the royalty court setting from both isekai and non-isekai as of late. And it sure does feel like it was the 2010s again with shojo manga nostalgia.
Momochi OP
At first, I was afraid of the quality of the animation because the promo stills looked weird. But after the first episode, we can safely breathe with relief now. But I'm not a fan of the retro-ish earthy palettes and the eyelashes. It may also stem from the fact that it looks different from the original manga art of Aya Shouoto. I've only read just a few chapters from the manga before so if I'm completely way off with it being a reverse harem please let me indulge a bit with this delusion. I also have high hopes it will turn into one since Aya Shouoto is one of the reverse harem enablers with titles like Barajou no Kiss, S.L.H, and Super Darling! I'm also trying to avoid it's like a Kamisama Hajimemashita meets Fruits Basket yet there I said it.

Elise is a spoiled princess who is executed and reincarnated in modern Earth. She turns into a new leaf and becomes a surgeon. Then she goes back in her time before the events that will lead her to her demise.
The premise of Elise has two layers of twists to the reincarnation and time loop tropes. For the first episode alone among the three anime, I would hand it over to Elise. In a short period, we felt like we knew her already and felt her sincerity to help. She's relatable in her reincarnated era. But in her original form, I'm still trying to reconcile that they are the same person. Maybe because she's too doll-like? And being a prodigy does not cut it for me - I would be very suspicious that she can perform surgery on her own with no mentor and practical experience. And I'm coming from a place of love. I love Elise!
Dr. Elise OP
The trailer seemed boring or too serious but the medical elements make it interesting and it's actually relaxing. To see her clean the clinic and taking care of patients, makes you feel safe... and neat... and cute! (And come to think of it all 3 anime have the heroines cleaning in first 3 episodes.) It's also refreshing that even though she's supposed to be mean, she's well-loved and all the people surrounding her are loveable as well. There are no intrigues like I usually see on manhwa and webtoons. Or maybe it's too early to call it yet.
So far, we have met two bishonen already but no signs of romance yet. But there's more to the main guy than meets the eye. And I hope the grumpy brother is not part of reverse harem...but she did mention stepmother. Oh no! (lol)
There's an overlap too with Rishe of 7th Loop of having gained medical skills from a previous life. My head is swirling now with all the heroines trying to break off engagement/get a divorce with Scent of Time timeloop cdrama, I'm the Villain isekai webtoon, and 7th Loop anime. Yes, I'm watching/reading them all at the same time.

The First Impressions is back! It's making me nervous that it's only the start of the year and we already have this triumvirate. What have we done to deserve this but yes we do deserve this! What's your favorite among the three anime? I love 'em and all the three heroines for sure. Each anime has its strengths and they all offer something different to the table. And lest we forget no confirmed reverse harem for all three yet. Let's cross all our fingers and toes real tight.
