My marathon started in March of last year with two seasons of B-Project , fourth/last season Uta Prince No Sama and  Phantom of Twilight . I usually blog my review before I start with watching the next anime but at the rate I'm going it will take me forever to get it all done. I decided to watch the remaining anime one after another without blogging and I finished it all by December. The last time I had this marathon was from the time I first discovered reverse harem. But unlike before, this time I feel like I was losing my mind and I'm going to quit watching reverse harem anime for good.  Well almost. The only way for me to blog all these anime would be in one go...again. I'm just going to keep 'em all short. Uta no Prince Sama Maji Love ~Legend Star~ (Season 4) 13 episodes The show picks up right where the last season ends off. But the winning group is unhappy with the result and another contest will be held again to decide once and for all of whose group will perform for the Triple S. While preparing for the contest, each Starish and Heavens members pairs up for a song composed by Nanami.

Meiji Tokyo Renka- 12 episodes Mei keeps to herself because of her ability to see ghosts.  Not wanting to be center of attention she finds herself chosen in a magic trick. She's then brought to the past where she meets popular men of Meiji history.

Sengoku Night Blood- 12 episodes Yuzi was transported from present time Japan and straight to the middle of warring clans in the Sengoku era with historical figures. But the world is actually Shinga and the war is between vampires and werewolves clans. 

Kenka Bancho Otome: Girl Beats Boys- 12 episodes Hinako was convinced by her twin into swapping places with him in the all boy school, Shishiku Academy. And it's not just simple as that. It is a highschool full of delinquents and she has to fight her way all the way to the top.

Diabolik Lovers More, Blood 12 episodes Yui finds herself with a new set of brothers, the Mukamis. They are bent on making her become their "Eve".

Jyuzaengi Engetsu Sangokuden - 1 episode The Juuzas are the cat people or the 13th Zodiacs. After participating in a war, they now live in a secluded place.

Uta Prince No Sama Maji Love Revolutions - 13 episodes Quartet has been chosen to open the most prestigious, SSS. Starish also hopes to becomes a part of and it will be divided into a cross-units to deem themselves worthy of entering the contest. Nanami will also work with Quartet in producing new songs.

Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie (Sweet Love Pâtisserie) -24 episodes Sayuri enters the Fleurir Confectionary School through a scholarship. The school has a very strict code against romantic relationships between teachers and students especially with the presence of very attractive teachers. 

Hakuouki Movie Part 2: Shikon Soukuu This is the second half of the two-part Hakuouki movie which shows the final chapter of the Shinsengumis.  I was not looking forward at all to watch this movie. Halfway through it dawned on me on how this movie made me appreciate the TV series, Hakuouki Reimeiroku. Even though it was ho hum, well at least they're very much alive! The movie also makes a connection with Reimeiroku. After all the movies and the series where all announced at the same time.  Their impending doom makes me hang on every word they utter and breath in all their moves. (Okay that were lyrics from a song. Haha!) The way they died are different from the TV series. Not only do we have to relive the pain, we're now going to have two sets of painful memories of how they died. Diabolik Lovers OAD This is an OAD (original animation DVD) bundled with the release of the game, Diabolik Lovers Dark Fate. Like the previous anime series, it's also short under twelve minutes. It basically introduces the new set of characters or to be exact it's a new set of brothers from the Mukami household. Yui already has her neck (or body) chock full of bite marks from the six Sakamaki brothers and now they just had to add more sadistic brothers??? No, really I'm worried about her...not! But seriously though I really don't know how much her body will handle this much blood-sucking. It doesn't explain how she knew the new additions. It will most likely be explained in the game but hopefully, it will be given light on the upcoming second season for non-gamers like me. I can't also help but pass off the Mukamis as just a slightly different version of the Sakamakis. I do hope there's more to the pretty faces.  So who's your favorite Mukami?   

Brothers Conflict OVA - 2 episodes The OVAs are seasonal-themed episodes. The first episode, "Seiya" (Holy Night), was released last Decemeber 19 for Christmas. Meanwhile, "Honmei" (Favorite or Possible Winner) went out on February 11 for Valentines.  The brothers are divided into two groups to represent each OVA. The episodes are of course filled with the fanservices and with the brothers fighting for her attention.  I enjoyed Seiya over Honmei because the transition of the scenes and the doki-doki moments are smooth and natural. Honmei is cheesier but still it's fun. I also love how they cleverly showed Hikaru as competition in Seiya. I'm not sure if the subtitles are accurate but the "reverse chocolate" in Honmei is so meant for a reverse harem show! The ending song is another story of its own and sorry for a lack of term, it's simply perfection! 

The following titles are not reverse harem, I repeat not a reverse harem. But I swear that they're all related to reverse harem. Hakuouki Reimeiroku- 12 episodes It's the prequel of Hakuouki series which illuminates the rise of the shinsengumis. The missing presence of Chizuru almost turned me into a fujoshi. She makes a cameo though at the end.  As much as I love Hakuouki, it was really hard for me to pick it up again after only watching just one episode a few years back. But I found out it was way harder to finish it. The only thing that I appreciated is that we get to see a different side of our pretty warriors most especially Souji.  The Selection series-  The Selection, The Elite and The One by Kiera Cass The trilogy is about America who enters the Selection to compete for the prince's hand in marriage. Starry Sky - 26 episodes Tsukiko is the only female student in the formerly all-boy astronomy school, Seigetsu Academy. She meets different boys (and men) who represent each of the constellations. There's no major goal or conflict in the anime. Can I say it's a slice of life? It's practically how the year went by with background stories and flashbacks of how they all meet and how they are related to each other.     I've been posting monthly wallpapers of Starry Sky for years now and all this time I had no idea of who they all are. I watched only three episodes back then and placed it on hold after finding it boring. But before I know it four springs, four summers, four autumns and three winters have passed. This is the most classic example of procrastination. Gomen! But now that I have finally finished watching it. I actually liked it. It's simple yet deep. Hakuōki Dai-isshō Kyoto Ranbu ( Hakuouki: Chapter 1 Kyoto Boisterous Dance ) This is the first installment of the two-part movie. I think this was made to entice people who haven't seen the TV series and also to provide a cinematic experience for the loyal fans. It feels the same and different all at the same time. Just imagine a different person narrating the same story. The scenarios are different from what I remembered but the gist is there. And to quote my previous co-worker, it's basically the same bananas. I could say it's still painfully beautiful. The animation. The scoring. The doomed bishonens. There's still a part of me hoping that in this version, they will all live happily ever after. Of course we all know that it won't happen. La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky - 12 episodes Koihanata Kanade was invited to Seiso Academy to compete for the national musical competition wherein they have to pit against the cream of the crop of other schools. She was once a child prodigy in playing the violin but she has reached a somewhat of a slump. I was excited with the number of bishonen and different schools. There are four schools and fifteen bishies but the opening credits showed twelve main boys. Who wouldn't be excited? Out of all the Neoromance anime adaptations, the only project that I really liked is La Corda d' Oro. So I was feeling positive about the spinoff. There was also a reverse harem cohabitation within the reverse harem interschool competition.  Inception! Yes, there was a female photographer in the house and all-girl team but I liked to pretend that they don't count. But after just a couple of episodes, I have quickly accepted the fact that it's going to be yet another boring Neoromanc...

Kamigami no Asobi Ludere Deorum- 12 episodes Yui Kasunagi is transported to a mysterious garden together with gods from different mythologies. There's the Greek Gods: Hades, Dionysius and Apollon, Japanese Gods: Takeru and Tsukito, Norse Gods: Loki, Balder and Thor and oh yeah an Egyptian teacher, Thoth. The gods are tasked to get closer to humanity through interaction with their human classmate, Yui. I loved the premise of teaming up different gods from different mythologies. I'm really into Greek and Roman mythologies back in college. I also loved the fact that my nickname, Iris, is a Greek goddess of the rainbow. But sadly the plot didn't offer much. It did succeeded though in providing eye candy-- handsome and scantily clad gods and colorful animation -- and funny school misadventures. Capriccio - stile Arcana Famiglia (OVA) Jolly creates a potion which would have serious yet hilarious effects. It's such a fun episode! And the only hint I can give is that you'll see all of them in a new light. Dante really shined in this OVA.

Brothers Conflict Special - 1 episode Emi receives a magical lamp from her father. She rubs the lamp and waits with the six brothers for the genie to appear. What would they wish for? It's a short episode packed with fun and fanservice. I have this longing in the core of my being for a second season. Please, please make it happen!
