All-Time Top Ten Reverse Harem Anime

Hello Wallflowers! I am not going to do a decade in review since I did that already a couple of years ago. but I am loooong overdue for my top 10 anime. I actually made one coincidentally a decade ago but it's a consolidated top 10 of everything from anime, manga and dramas as the titles are fewer back in 2010. I should have done it sooner but it's the nagging feeling that I should finish everything before I can post this. What if there's a hidden gem in my backlog that piled up beginning 2015 (due to pregnancy)?  Fast forward to last year and major life events later, I have finished nine anime in eight months. It felt like forever. And after that, I found out I could actually start the list even without watching the backlog. LOL But the good thing is I was able to finish it and that has put off a lot of guilt feelings from me. I mean who blogs about reverse harem and never watches past the first episode??? Sadly, I don't remember most of the story of the anime...

Anime Review: Brothers Conflict OVA

Brothers Conflict OVA - 2 episodes The OVAs are seasonal-themed episodes. The first episode, "Seiya" (Holy Night), was released last Decemeber 19 for Christmas. Meanwhile, "Honmei" (Favorite or Possible Winner) went out on February 11 for Valentines.  The brothers are divided into two groups to represent each OVA. The episodes are of course filled with the fanservices and with the brothers fighting for her attention.  I enjoyed Seiya over Honmei because the transition of the scenes and the doki-doki moments are smooth and natural. Honmei is cheesier but still it's fun. I also love how they cleverly showed Hikaru as competition in Seiya. I'm not sure if the subtitles are accurate but the "reverse chocolate" in Honmei is so meant for a reverse harem show! The ending song is another story of its own and sorry for a lack of term, it's simply perfection!

Anime Review: Brothers Conlflict Special

Brothers Conflict Special - 1 episode Emi receives a magical lamp from her father. She rubs the lamp and waits with the six brothers for the genie to appear. What would they wish for? It's a short episode packed with fun and fanservice. I have this longing in the core of my being for a second season. Please, please make it happen!

Anime Review: Brothers Conflict

Brothers Conflict - 12 episodes Ema fathers remarries and finds herself with new stepbrothers...13 of them! Conflicts ensues as each of the brother confesses for Ema. At first, I wasn't too keen with the character art and story. They look distorted especially Ema, Azusa and Tsubaki. But then again, it's I think it's because I already knew the story. If I get to read the book before the movie I will most likely not like the movie. And vice versa, if I already watched the book I will most likely not read the book. The same goes with mangas/novels and animes. But as the series progress, my love for  it has reawaken. Check out my thoughts on the novel's summaries here . The novel is now on it's second volume. Let's hope for a second season in the future. They still have Iori's conflict to cover.  The ending song "14 to 1" deserves a separate discussion. The story is already pure fanservice to reverse harem fans. 13 brothers after 1 girl? ...

Light Novel Review: Brothers Conflict

Brother Conflict - 7 volumes (complete) art by Udajo and story by Atsuko Kanase Ema's father remarries and she moves into the Sunrise  Residence filled with spanking new 11 brothers. I've been looking for this since I first saw this from Lijakaca's blog. Finally, I had the time to scour for it again and found translations and it wasn't enough so I've had to read the summaries. It's a light novel turned to otome game. What makes it set up apart from the usual stepbrother fanfare is the sheer number of brothers (brace yourself for more surprises) and the choice of medium. It was tricky at first to know who's who and I had to look at their pictures for reference. But as the story progress the novel form is exactly perfect to build up all the characters. All the stock characters are well-represented too. The glasses guy, the playboy, the twins etc. I also love it that despite the eye candy art and stereotype characters, there's internal conflicts which...
