"Hana Yori Dango Fainaru" 131 mins. release date: June 28, 2008
Makino and Tsukasa are now engaged and as a family tradition Makino receives the tiara heirloom. But the tiara was stolen and thus the two will travel halfway around the world to recover it.
The movie drew down the curtain for the TV version of 'Hana Yori Dango' that ran for two seasons. As I was watching I was confident on who was the enemy and the accomplices, but I was only halfway right. The mastermind and the truth behind the fuss isn't who I was expecting. But what I really love is everything that took place after all the hoopla. The F4 surprise to them- the place, the guests...I was a bit teary eyed for a few seconds...The perfect ending! I was just puzzled with Hanazawa Rui...in gold...erm just watch the movie...hehe! And I also love how the picture frame morphed.
Some minor, minor details that I need to blurt out: First, her little brother is so not little anymore haha; second, Makino always loses something - always the necklace and then the tiara (and don't make me start with kdrama BBF) and third, Why does Asian dramas always have the piggyback cliche? Does that even happen in real life??? There I can breathe now.
Also the 'Mr. Kaburagi' actor actually played Hanazawa Rui in the first HYD movie in 1995. And I only realized during the promotion of the movie that Jun Matsumoto is a member of Arashi who are part of all the Japanese HYD soundtrack.
The problem with reverse harems is that the heroine either chooses one or no one at all. I hate it when she doesn't choose anyone at all but I also pity the next best contender left at the sidelines. Like Hanazawa Rui, Nakatsu of Hana Kimi, Hotohori of FY , Shinogu of Hot Gimmick. I'm so torn! lol!

I hope GMA 7 would also televised this movie just like the two seasons of Hana Yori Dango here in the Philippines.
