This was supposed to be first impression of nine reverse harem dramas but I've decided to split them into smaller posts because it's taking me forever to finish them in one go. Let's start with Not Found Love and Find Me If You Can. These two are both short, "finding"-themed kdramas that aired under Fall Reverse Harem 2021.
Not Found Love kdrama - 10 eps. 15 mins. runtime
She presently has four notebooks. For Chorong, her first boyfriend in highschool. Minwoo, who she met in her twenties. Sangwoo, her college lover. And Hyunseok, her latest boyfriend. We have met the three guys but we're getting this vibe from another guy who might be included in the reverse harem. This falls under three flowers in Levels of Reverse Harem where the guys are in different timelines.
The drama is such a mood. Each episode features scenic different tourist destinations in Korea. The room interiors, her outfits, and down to the notebooks are all so cute. The wrong answer notebook is apparently a thing in Korea especially for math problems and our programming-savvy girl is looking at them as variables complete with a decision flow chart. Now, I am passionately obsessed with notebooks and journaling. I know a popular journaling artist who keeps a travel notebook for each city she has visited and with this drama it's like that but instead of cities it's boyfriends. You can write your thoughts plus make a collage of your paper memorabilia of love letters, photos, movie tickets, receipts, song lyrics and a whole lot more. It's a pretty good idea...until you break up or your future boyfriend gets ahold of it. And it's not you Seul, as of third guy it's them. So no favorite guy but I want to see more of Seul and her "notebooks".
Find Me if You Can 8 eps 14 mins. runtime
Shim Soon Jeong is trying to catch out who's stalking her. And it doesn't help that three guys who all confessed to her happened to be screwheads and suspicious: Yoo Go Gyeol, the ex-boyfriend/manager; Seol Yoo Hwan, her friend/colleague, and Choi Jeong Sang superstar/client).
Another mystery drama but it's not the usual who has a crush on her or who kissed her and whatnot. And it's only recently we had Peng which has the same stalking issues too. But even with the dark undertones, it's actually a fun office drama.
It's too easy if it's one of the guys though even though they exhibit varying levels of creepiness. The manager comes as scary creepy. The friend is funny creepy while the idol is like smart creepy. I love her friend's antics but my heart seems to be taken by the superstar. I just want to punish the manager and he seems to love it too. Lol. I'm not a fan of violent leading ladies not unless it's action but she's cute when she's angry. Like you don't want to take her seriously. It's good that they all confessed to her from the get go because the last two reverse harem with a mystery premise that I've watched ended up in a love triangle. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Anything can still happen and I want to get answers.
Which of the two have you watched or will be watching? Let me know.
