Reverse Harem Garden

This is the record-breaking number of dramas in one season! Nine reverse harem dramas not including 300 Year-Old Class of 2020 which seems like a promotional show? I can't see myself doing one review at a time. It's going to take me forever so I'll review them in one go. I have yet to finish cdramas: Celestial Authority Academy, In Love With Your Dimples and Unique Lady/Lascivious Lady Season 2. Those are 20+ episodes each.  It's also hard to rank them as they have different formats but I've grouped them according to country of origin. Some are super short whilst others are just right. There were some that I loved but the ending left me sad. And there was one or maybe two that are not a reverse harem! Mairunovich jdrama / based on manga  Kinoshita Mairu is popular as "poison mushroom" (a pun for 'ugly'). She meets Tenyu who gives her a makeover. She's able to have the confidence to go on dates and meets Naru. Meanwhile her neighbor Mirai is not happy with the changes in Mairu.  Back then I always wonder if it was a reverse harem because of the wallpapers. And I feel a special connection to this even though I haven't read the manga. I'm happy it got a drama adaptation when normally I would always root for the animation route.  This may be tied with 3B no Koibito as my favorite among the first impressions from Winter Reverse Harem 2021 . And this is the drama among the winter lineup where the reverse harem is not really defined. There are three guys alright but it's not marketed blatantly as a reverse harem and it's taking its time for the main characters to build romantic feelings which I appreciate. Hotel La Vie En Rose by Toyota Yuu 4 chapters-completed Tachibana Kaori stayed at Hotel La Vie En Rose for a night but in the morning she finds out that she has Y8,000 bill to settle. Now she has to work in the hotel to settle her debt. Sounds familiar? Not only does the debt is like a play with numbers of the infamous 8 million yen vase, the hotel specifically caters the rich, female clientele that's reminiscent of Ouran Host Club. Aside from the debt trope, there are also touches of makeover, gender bender and sports too. The bishies also represent all the job/occupation trope there is. There's the hairstylist, butler, beautician, chef etc. At first I find the supporting guys just a filler characters to get the reverse harem effect. But as they made appearances I find myself wishing there's more for them in the story. The romance was not full blown but the tension is there which makes it adorable. Perfect Rose by Natsumi Oouchi 3 volumes- complete Hina is the morality officer in an all-girl school, Matsubase Academy. She especially disapproves the 4 bishies from their next-door all-boy school, Minamidate High School. But it was announced that the Minamidate will be closed. Suddenly the four hot guys are after the plain-looking Hina. The first scanlated chapter is just recently released and it's hot right on the heels of me reading Esoragoto Note. This is an earlier work of the mangaka who brought Esoragoto Note and Himegimi no Aikon . The guys also have some background in beauty. Yay, more bishies to add to my Reverse Harem Salon .
