But more importantly, is that Cha Woo-min in the banquet scene, and what role will he play? Ooooh, I hope it’s Kaufman! --Ayreesa
Matsurika Kanriden anime airs this January 2027. Based on a light novel.
From ANN: The fantasy romance novels, inspired by Chinese history, center on the titular Matsurika, a court lady serving at the emperor's inner palace, who is known for her good memory. One day, she receives a request to serve as a practice partner for the marriage meeting for the son a certain noble house. But when she arrives to meet this noble scion, it turns out to be none other than Emperor Hakuyō himself. The emperor falls in love with her at first sight, but tells her to come to him once she passes the state's scholar-official civil service exam.
Most likely not a reverse harem but see below. Spoilers ahead.
The manga's first part ended in October, while the second part, featuring the Sāra Kingdom Arc, started last May. More details on ANN.
The first time I saw this photo, I thought, this looks like reverse harem! But I couldn't find anything saying it was. Then I saw the anime key visuals, which got me checking again, and still, not a reverse harem. But I double-checked the Sāra Kingdom Arc, and we may finally have something!
In the later volumes, around Vol. 8-11, aside from Emperor Hakuyō, there will be Shōkei (blond), who will propose marriage, and another good-looking character, Rānash (dark-haired). The manga's first part has ended and a new arc has started. So here's hoping it becomes a full-blown reverse harem manga with the abundance of bishies, and that the anime gets multiple cours/seasons!
Verdict: Kinda reverse harem. May or may not end up as full-blown RH.

And what is that her brother seems to be hiding?

Here are the reasons why it might be a reverse harem or at least kind of a reverse harem:
1. Review from A.K.S. for the first volume of manga.: "No romances yet, despite the name of the series, but there are a couple of interesting boys at school. And Julius is behaving very unlike a brother, so he probably isn’t one and will turn out to be a love interest too."
2. The blurb for Vol. 5 manga: This fantasy romance, featuring a spunky reincarnated heroine and her cast of love interests in a magic academy, is perfect for fans of otome isekai, school-life shoujo, and reverse harem romance.)
Yen Press has licensed Make It an Eternity manga. It is also available on MangaPlaza and ebookRenta! More details on ANN.
