The manga will also get a new complete edition of all five volumes. The first volume will be released on September 30. Source: Shoujocrave.
The series had an anime adaptation in 2005, while the manga is currently licensed by Udon Entertainment. Del Rey previously licensed and released the volumes in English.
In the Magical World, the future queen is chosen by selecting two young witches and sending them to the Human World, where they'll compete to capture the hearts of boys. Whoever has collected the most by the end of the competition is crowned queen. This generation's Queen Candidates are best friends and polar opposites Vanilla Mieux and Chocolat Meilleure, the daughters of the current queen and her former competitor (respectively). They're aided by their assigned mentor and guardian, pop idol witch Rockin' Robin, and their two animal familiars, Blanca the mouse and Duke the frog. But the girls have more to deal with than just competing for hearts at school. There's something weird about the cool, mysterious middle school boy Pierre, who resembles the evil king Glace—and he seems to be after Chocolat. Now, both trapped within their own new goals, the two witches must fight their way and retain a friendship which no magic can defeat.
This was recommended by Tartza way back in 2008. She said: "I had already forgotten I even suggested Sugar Sugar Rune. It's been so long since I watched that. :S But now that I think about the series more carefully, I still stick to my word. Look at the guys! lol. Those two twins in the first picture and that dark-hearted guy. And occasionally other guys too when she is trying to "woo" them, meaning steal their heart as energy...weird but she is a witch. he hee."

Shugo Chara Summary: Relive the magic of self-discovery with Amu Hinamori and friends in a refreshed edition of this classic magical-girl manga, featuring new covers, updated translation, and a beautiful color art gallery. Amu Hinamori is known among her fellow elementary students as a "cool girl" with a spiky personality, but behind closed doors, she's actually extremely shy and wishes she could be brave enough to embrace her feminine, cutesy side. Her wish is granted in the form of three character eggs that hatch into Guardian Characters—mysterious entities that not only encourage her to achieve her potential but can even power her up by granting special abilities. Together with the student council, Amu must use her newfound powers to stop the evil forces feeding on the darkness in people's hearts...
Shugo Chara! Jewel Joker Summary: The magical girl classic finally continues with this sequel manga to Shugo Chara! Amu Hinamori, the Joker Guardian, is a middle schooler now—back with friends and rivals old and new. After transferring to Arcana Academy on a special assignment, her role as the Joker Guardian is to intervene in a crisis that is causing students to lose hope and confidence in themselves. But she has another, more important secret mission: to retrieve the all-powerful, mysterious Arcana Jewels.
