Freshest News: Sugar Sugar Rune and The 100th Time’s the Charm anime projects, Shugo Chara Jewel Joker and Love at First Memory licensed manga, and more!


“Sugar Sugar Rune Les deux sorcières” anime short was released at Japan Expo on Friday to commemorate its 20th anniversary. The short serves as a prologue to the manga. It was also announced that a new anime project is in the works using similar CG animation. More information on: ANN 

The manga will also get a new complete edition of all five volumes. The first volume will be released on September 30. Source: Shoujocrave. 

The series had an anime adaptation in 2005, while the manga is currently licensed by Udon Entertainment. Del Rey previously licensed and released the volumes in English.

In the Magical World, the future queen is chosen by selecting two young witches and sending them to the Human World, where they'll compete to capture the hearts of boys. Whoever has collected the most by the end of the competition is crowned queen. This generation's Queen Candidates are best friends and polar opposites Vanilla Mieux and Chocolat Meilleure, the daughters of the current queen and her former competitor (respectively). They're aided by their assigned mentor and guardian, pop idol witch Rockin' Robin, and their two animal familiars, Blanca the mouse and Duke the frog. But the girls have more to deal with than just competing for hearts at school. There's something weird about the cool, mysterious middle school boy Pierre, who resembles the evil king Glace—and he seems to be after Chocolat. Now, both trapped within their own new goals, the two witches must fight their way and retain a friendship which no magic can defeat.

This was recommended by Tartza way back in 2008. She said: "I had already forgotten I even suggested Sugar Sugar Rune. It's been so long since I watched that. :S But now that I think about the series more carefully, I still stick to my word. Look at the guys! lol. Those two twins in the first picture and that dark-hearted guy. And occasionally other guys too when she is trying to "woo" them, meaning steal their heart as energy...weird but she is a witch. he hee."

The 100th Time’s the Charm: She Was Executed 99 Times, So How Did She Unlock ‘Super Love’ Mode?! light novel is getting an anime adaptation. This was announced at Drecom’s panel at Anime Expo on Saturday. The light novel and manga are licensed by J-Novel Club. See the light novel review. More infomation on ANN.

All-Time Top Ten Reverse Harem Anime

Hello Wallflowers! I am not going to do a decade in review since I did that already a couple of years ago. but I am loooong overdue for my top 10 anime. I actually made one coincidentally a decade ago but it's a consolidated top 10 of everything from anime, manga and dramas as the titles are fewer back in 2010. I should have done it sooner but it's the nagging feeling that I should finish everything before I can post this. What if there's a hidden gem in my backlog that piled up beginning 2015 (due to pregnancy)?  Fast forward to last year and major life events later, I have finished nine anime in eight months. It felt like forever. And after that, I found out I could actually start the list even without watching the backlog. LOL But the good thing is I was able to finish it and that has put off a lot of guilt feelings from me. I mean who blogs about reverse harem and never watches past the first episode??? Sadly, I don't remember most of the story of the anime...

English otome apps are now available in smartphones! The art and the bishies are eye candy and the   premises are engaging. These are all paid apps but they all come with free prologues to tempt your wallets. Finally,  English games that are accessible! I wish I can just pay it in my local currency rather than credit card. "Pirates in Love" is the first title of Voltage Romance Sims. It's available both in itunes and play. You'll have to pay for each characters and epilogues. I really want to play Eduardo! "My Forged Wedding" is also from Voltage and are also available in itunes and play . The prologue doesn't give away the details as to why exactly they need to fake the wedding but check out the video above to have an idea why. I'm gravitating to Saeki (the ladies man) and Yamato (the rude guy). Also, the "uncle" seems to be play-able character in the future. Interesting. ...
