Wallflower of the Month: Eevee

I have re-launched Patreon with a new goal and updated rewards. I have also finally quit from my job and I plan now to focus on Reverse Harem Garden hopefully through your support. Tell me something about yourself? 

Hi! I’m Eevee, I’m 24, live in the USA, and I’m an Infant Teacher, and also in school to get my CDA and associates in early childhood development. I love to write fanfiction, game, buy merch and read in my spare time.

How did you discover reverse harem? What got you into reverse harem?
Oh geez, this was forever ago! I remember I was in high school? When I discovered this site after I got into Otome games. I primarily started to play them in HS to help me practice Japanese. What better way than to study visual novels with pretty bishounen!


How did you discover Reverse Harem Garden?
Like I mentioned, I was in high school, and I was scouring every source of Otome gaming news. I actually have Reverse Harem Garden bookmarked on my bookmark tab. I had to leave a lot of hobbies while I was studying in my undergrad, and when I graduated…I accidentally clicked on this bookmarked website and rediscovered my love for Otome games and reverse harems about two years ago now! 

Why do you love reverse harem?

Mainly the pretty bishounen, the fun stories, the fun self-inserts I can do in my fanfiction!

What are your all-time reverse harem favorites?

Hakuouki, Uta no Prince-sama, Code Realize, Amnesia, Heart no Kuni no Alice series…I could really go on and on, but these are what come to mind first!

What are your favorite character types in bishonen? 

I’m all over the board really…I love the soft bois, megane bois, tsunderes, kuuderes…I tend to like over half of the bois in a cast LOL.

Who are your favorite heroines?

Cadia and, Haruka, Alice are some of my favorites, since I can kind of relate to them.

What are your favorite reverse harem tropes?

Idol, vampire, bois with tragic pasts, I love many tropes as well, I’m a sucker for a lot of these.

 If you were to create a harem, how many bishies and who would you include?

Oh, this is a fun one! (Like I haven’t thought about it before lol) Hakuouki’s Iba Hachiro, Okita Souji, Saito Hajime and Ryoma; Amnesia’s Kent, Ikki and Shin; Code Realize’s Fran, Lupin and Van; Uta no Prince’s Tokiya, Cecil, Ai, Reiji, Ren, Natsuki; Fire Emblem’s Marth, Fredrick, Chrom, Ryoma, Leo, Stahl, Henry, Jakob, Kaze; Clover no Kuni no Alice’s Boris, Ace, Julius; Touken Ranbu’s Mikazuki, Kasen, Ichigo, Mitsudaikiri, Tsurumaru; Psychedelic of the Black Butterfly’s Kagiha. Honestly, this list could go on forever.

Memorable/ happiest/ saddest moment that is related to reverse harem.

The bad endings for my favorite characters get to me! Hakuouki’s tend to be bad and beyond tragic. Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly made me CRY ON END FOR HOURS because of how sad it was. I have yet to find the real true end for Kagiha and I haven’t gone back to try yet. Bad Apple Wars is another one that made me spend many tears, and Alma’s route was so good! They had me fooled at the end.

If you have three wishes for reverse harem genre? What would it be?

We get stronger female characters like Cardia or at least more balanced. (More translations, but isn’t that always a wish? Lol). I’m also hoping more things get ported to PC or Nintendo Switch real soon.

What are your all time non-reverse harem favorites (anime, manga, drama, books, games)?

I love tons of other things too lol! I’m a Marvel junkie, KDramas for days, and Pokemon are just some of my other passions.

Year in Review 2017

from Kenka Bancho Otome And just like that it's time for Year in Review again. While doing the review, I realized it was a slow year for reverse harem shows and movies. We only had four animes:  Kenka Bancho Otome: Girl Beats Boys, Code Realize, Ikemen Sengoku and Dance with Devils: Fortuna movie, which are all otome game adaptations. The rest of the Winter 2018 anime shows will be airing next year: Idolish 7 Dame X Prince, Yuuwaku Office Lover 2 and Gekijouban Tokimeki Restaurant ☆☆☆ MIRACLE 6. For dramas, we have Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu jdrama, Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu movie and Five which are manga adaptations. I'm not sure yet with Seizei Ganbare Mahou Shoujo Kurumi and Good Morning Call Our Campus Days. And oh yeah we have one American TV show, She's Gotta Have it.

7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy anime-12 episodes- based on a light novel  Rishe Irmgard Weitzner is now on her 7th life after always being killed in one way or another by Prince Arnold Hein. But on the 7th time loop, her enemy has taken an interest in her. This is a mix of my first impression here on the blog, mini-impressions, and mini-review from Patreon. And with some new insights.  7th Time Loop is entertaining and exciting.  It makes you think of the possibilities and the interconnections.  Her past six lives were summarized without being long-winded but just enough to pique our curiosity. The critical timing of each action or decision will lead to different outcomes or probable "romance routes". Or so I thought. No reverse harem romance but there's a bishonen for each life.   The Reincarnated Princess Spends Another Day Skipping Story Routes: Volume 1 by Bisu Art by: Yukiko Translated by: Tom Harris Rosemary Velfalt is reincarnated as a princess rival in the otome game, Welcome to the Hidden World, infamous for its terrible suitors and amazing side characters. She's now breaking event flags to avoid triggering routes. Unlike in other isekai, Rosemary has her memory since infancy and she's not avoiding getting killed. It's in the goodness of her heart to help the main guys skip story routes. Her internal monologues are also amusing with her flair for dramatics and hysterics. All-Time Top Ten Reverse Harem Anime

Hello Wallflowers! I am not going to do a decade in review since I did that already a couple of years ago. but I am loooong overdue for my top 10 anime. I actually made one coincidentally a decade ago but it's a consolidated top 10 of everything from anime, manga and dramas as the titles are fewer back in 2010. I should have done it sooner but it's the nagging feeling that I should finish everything before I can post this. What if there's a hidden gem in my backlog that piled up beginning 2015 (due to pregnancy)?  Fast forward to last year and major life events later, I have finished nine anime in eight months. It felt like forever. And after that, I found out I could actually start the list even without watching the backlog. LOL But the good thing is I was able to finish it and that has put off a lot of guilt feelings from me. I mean who blogs about reverse harem and never watches past the first episode??? Sadly, I don't remember most of the story of the anime...
