Freshest News: Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle and My Unicorn Girl premiere dates + Cafe Kilimanjaro kdrama

(Warning: Titles below may not be or most likely not reverse harem. I may or may not watch it. Also see, Levels of Reverse Harem)

The official site announced the supporting cast of Maoujou de Oyasumi/Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. The anime will air in October. Source: MAL (I saw in the comments that it's basically a reverse harem anime sub-genre but the focus is not romance/shipping. It's tagged under shonen/fantasy/comedy. Let me know if you have read the manga.)

Synopsis from Viz: Sshhh! Princess Syalis is trying to get a good night's sleep. Some shut-eye. Forty winks. Catch some Z's. Long ago in olden times when people and demons lived together in—well, disharmony, really—a demon king kidnaps a human princess and imprisons her in his castle. Bereft, the princess's subjects beat their chests in anguish…until a hero arises to spearhead Project Rescue Our Princess! While waiting for her knight in shining armor, what's an imprisoned princess to do...? Teddy-bear guards with bat wings are all very well, but her dungeon cell is bo-o-o-ring! So, she decides to wile away the long hours by sleeping. Now if only she could get comfortable…and didn't suffer from insomnia...

My Unicorn Girl premieres tonight, August 23rd, on iQiyi. (It looks like not a reverse harem drama since the promos show main couple and two other couples .)

Synopsis from MDL: Sang Tian is a lovely young woman. On her eighteenth birthday, she made a promise to get into the figure skating team of her mother's Alma mater no matter what. Alas, her usually lucky self fails the examinations. Through some strange circumstances, Sang Tian disguised as a man joins the ice hockey recruitment and gets hired. Because the team does not accept women, she has no choice but to continue the ruse. Thinking that her plan was seamless, she hits a road bump when prankster Wen Bing appears in her life. The two made enemies out of each other during an encounter outside school but they must now live in the same dorm and fight as teammates in their quest to win the ice hockey league championship. Can Sang Tian keep her identity in the wraps?

Web drama, "Cafe Kilimanjaro", started airing last August 13. Also available on Viki. (The promotional video shows only one guy interested in her.)

Synopsis from Viki: "As a high school student, San Ha (Viini) never really had any sort of ambitious dream or grand plan for his life. Nothing really piqued his interest and nothing seemed worth his time. But that all changed the day he and his friends decided to start a band. Suddenly inspired to make this new dream come true, San Ha and his friends, Ji Ho (Choi Si Hoon) and Chan (Baek Jin), were determined to make their band successful. However, they soon realized that starting a band was easy, while finding success was not. After graduating high school, life began to slowly lead the friends in different directions. Though their dreams of becoming a successful band still kept them going, they soon realized that life demanded a bit more of them than it had in high school. Now working as a part-timer, San Ha has no time to focus on anything but the present and he hasn’t heard from his friends in ages. On the brink of giving up all hope, his friends return and with them comes a renewed determination to make their dreams come true. Now ready to turn dreams into reality, the friends rent a practice space from an inexperienced coffee shop proprietor, who seems to have gotten in way over her head. With a whole new world of obstacles before them, this indomitable set of friends is determined to let nothing come between them and their dreams.

All-Time Top Ten Reverse Harem Anime

Hello Wallflowers! I am not going to do a decade in review since I did that already a couple of years ago. but I am loooong overdue for my top 10 anime. I actually made one coincidentally a decade ago but it's a consolidated top 10 of everything from anime, manga and dramas as the titles are fewer back in 2010. I should have done it sooner but it's the nagging feeling that I should finish everything before I can post this. What if there's a hidden gem in my backlog that piled up beginning 2015 (due to pregnancy)? Fast forward to last year and major life events later, I have finished nine anime in eight months. It felt like forever. And after that, I found out I could actually start the list even without watching the backlog. LOL But the good thing is I was able to finish it and that has put off a lot of guilt feelings from me. I mean who blogs about reverse harem and never watches past the first episode??? Sadly, I don't remember most of the story of the anime...
