The Reincarnated Princess Spends Another Day Skipping Story Routes: Volume 2 by Bisu Art by: Yukiko Translated by: Tom Harris
After being reincarnated as the otome game villainess, all that Lady Rosemary wants is to spend her life in peace but still with her conscience intact. She basically has to do the following in order to achieve that: 1. prevent a war 2. stop the spread of the disease and 3. obstruct Demon Lord's revival. Disclaimer: A review copy was provided by the publisher. Check out the first volume review here.
First order of business: the reverse harem factor. A major character makes an appearance and it's not clear yet if he will join the enamored guys but it's not far-fetched. Based on the volume 3 summary, we'll see the remaining three characters in the next volume and I can't wait. It's cute when the reverse harem squabble over her with their murderous verbal exchanges. But it's obvious by this book of who'll be the one (See Stages of Reverse Harem), with the 'screentime' and progress. But man oh man the secondhand embarrassment is strong. Not feeling it yet because of the age gap but I so so so want her to grow up and THAT will be a different story.
When I started reading reverse harem western fiction I got so addicted to The Ghost Bird Series and later on with The Veil Diaries series. And when I finally dipped into Japanese reverse harem light novels it was a bit of a big transition but eventually, I got the hang of it. But now I can finally say that I found the light novel that can be at par with the exhilaration that I get from the first two series. And what do you know it just dawned on me that The Reincarnated Princess is a slow burn as well. For someone who's doesn't want stories that drag on my favorite novels are slow burn. What can I say I can magically gain patience and stay around if the stories are compelling and the characters are all fleshed out like the case of these three. I do not recommend skipping on this light novel. You won't regret it. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
