Rosemary has already averted the war. Check. Stopped the plague. Check. There's one last thing left from the three calamities. Stop the demon lord's revival. Disclaimer: A review copy was provided by the publisher. See review of previous volumes.
If possible, I skip reading the summaries for the succeeding volumes. Whenever I start a new one, I ask myself where the story will take me now, and without fail, I always enjoy it. All the summary blurbs I've been mentioning are just the three main points but there's a lot more happening in Rosemary's life. She's making future plans that will be beneficial not only for Nevel but for all humanity. She also has these little and big things going on with the game's suitor candidates and side characters. She finally meets the last remaining character too. (Not quite convinced with the character development of the last two characters though.) It feels like it's nearing climax and it's pretty obvious that no one can come close to Leonhart as a worthy rival...in Rosemary's eyes of course. It's funny too that it is setting up the story to address the age gap between the two. It feels like it's a waste for the other characters and I am half-heartedly wishing this is #whychoose fiction where she chooses them all. (See more of 7 Types of Reverse Harem Endings). Literally, everyone who meets her and sees her generosity firsthand will not be left unscathed from the cupid's arrow. Heck, it will not be surprising if the demon lord gets out of the seal and ends up falling in love with her.
Five volumes in, you think you've had enough of her internal monologues but you get a "Rosemary refresh" from the point-of-view of other characters towards her, and this time it's from Nacht, her father, and Crow. The other characters are also such scene-stealers but even then Rosemary still kicks the most hilarious lines ever.
And speaking of scene-stealers, I didn't even know it's even possible to call a group of nameless hard-headed old fools one of my favorites. Lol. And in one of the earlier volumes, I was trying to be vague but let's get right on with it. I love her scenes with her father, the king. He's playing mind games with her and Rosemary is not even aware that he's actually teaching her valuable moves.
Although I wasn't accustomed to the art style at first, I have grown to it and the illustration inserts for this particular volume showcase their most attractive expressions. And it's also nice to see the younger characters, particularly Rosemary and Johan mature a bit. Has anyone started reading this because of the reviews here? Let me know. :)
