The manga has been on my to read list and I was surprised to find out that the live action movie is currently playing in Japan's movie theatres now. A disease spread during Edo times and the male population has been reduced. The Shogun is a woman and she keeps a harem of men. Maki Horikita is part of the supporting cast too. It hit the theatres last October 1 and approximately 470 million yen, with about 400,000 tickets have been sold on it's first three days. Today is 10-10-10 and it's the best day to start my Top 10s! I was thinking of posting all my top tens but it's hard to make a list in one go so I'll post my other lists on some other dates. These are my memorable and favorite titles that I will most likely rewatch if I ever get the time. Fushigi Yugi (anime) - This started my love for anime. I watched this on cable. Ater watching the initial airing I wait again for the rerun episode. It's the anime that everybody loves and hates. I felt like I was watching a forbidden anime where the themes are being backlashed and criticized by other people. But here's some newsworthy tidbits and not some senseless fangirling. (Don't get me wrong I'm a BIG fan!!!) Micky's bandmate JYJ sang the drama's OST has raked in sales even without promotional activities and was even compared to Boys Before Flowers OST phenomenon. The drama has also reached the double digits and KBS World has licensed SS and it will start to air on October 11. And now back to fangirling at SS fanpage in facebook.
