First Impression: My Next Life as a Villainess Episodes 1-3

Eight-year-old Katarina Claes hits her head and realized she's a teenage otaku who's now living her life inside the Fortune Lover game. And as the title has given away...in a villainess role. She's doing her best to circumvent the routes that will lead to her doom.

This is not really a 'first impression' since we're now at episode 3. Lol. I'm just trying to be chill but I'm really way too hyped for this anime especially since a lot of you recommended this way back before the news of anime adaptation. Guess what...I'm loving it! It started strong and with each episode, I feel like it can't do anything wrong but I did see some warning about the source material. I have not read the light novel so no spoilers, please.

I also love the opening song and video. The inside out moment (I wonder if the element is from the light novel too). The humor. Katarina who has way too many hobbies and kind personality. I like all the guys well except the last one, but I'm hoping there's more than meets the eye. I am also curious of what will be the true personality of the seemingly lead guy. Meanwhile, for the other supporting characters, I didn't see that coming.

I hate the commonly used device in kdramas where they start the first episode as small children. I mean it is important in setting the story but I'm just not buying it since I can barely remember all the details I did as a kid. But it works with MNLAAV. I'm really having fun with all the characters as children and there's a slight disconnect when I see them all as grown up in half of episode 3 since you got used to their adorable younger selves. You really get your hopes too high now that you loved them in their younger versions. And yet I feel like everything is going way too easy for Katarina. I am excited about how the romance will play out and I'm afraid too that things will get serious as the 'game' has officially started. There's still one vital character left to be introduced. It's been a while since I watched a non-otome game reverse harem anime (even though it's about an otome game) so I just want to savor each episode.

Since I have way too many time now because of community quarantine, I got inspired to start, 'First Impression'. Okay, it's really an excuse since I can hardly contain my feelings. How about you? Let me know your thoughts for the anime.

Katarina is one of the best Mc in isekais in my opinion! Really funny and active in her relationships with everyone, although the manga despicted much better graphics and flow i'm really excited about the series

Kiskis! My Boyfriend are Mint Candies!- 4 episodes Tang Tang meet guys who each represent a flavor of mint candies. It has a catchy, cute opening. At first there's a different feel on it which I can't pinpoint. And then I realized that they are talking in Chinese! This is my first completed Chinese animation. Well since it was way too easy to finish it. It's 5-minute ONA for 4 episodes. I think this premiered last June 4. But the first Chinese animation I watched is still currently airing (unconfirmed reverse harem), Phantom in the Twilight, which is a collaboration between Japan and China. Oh back to back Chinese reviews after The Flame's Daughter. Is China going to be booming with reverse harem now?

I was flexible with many titles where it's only one or two guys interested in the female protagonist and other gray areas. But we are now at a point where I can be strict with labeling reverse harem. I Have Three Boyfriends kdrama- 10 episodes The story starts with Ra Hee going on a date after another with her three boyfriends. She's frantically trying not to get caught. The drama will unravel how she got herself into this dilemma. This is the first reverse harem I've seen about cheating female main character. Certainly, this is bound to happen in reverse harem. BTW, My favorite boyfriend is the domineering director. It was not believable at first but it got me hooked. The story is milking the coincidences to the hilt. The ending is unexpected and here all along I was under the impression that it's going to be open-ended. Sorry, to keep this review short as it's a short drama with 15 minutes runtime per episode. Anime Review: Kamisama Hajimemashita OVA and Kako-Hen

Kamisama Hajimemashita OVA It consists of two 15-minute-ish episodes. The first episode is based on the manga while the second one is an original story. In the first episode, Tomoe is keeping a secret from Nanami, while in the second episode Tomoe and Nanami go on a trip. It's just appetizers so I recommend watching this first before the main course which is Kako Hen. Kamisama Hajimemashita Kako Hen- ( Kamisama Kiss Past Arc) It consists of five OVAs that were bundled on different volumes. Tomo is afflicted with a curse and the only way to save him is for Nanami to travel back in time.
